Brief
Position VIOOH as an industry thought-leader and authority on digital out of home and the wider digital advertising ecosystem. With particular emphasis on raising the profile of key leadership team spokespeople and ‘changing the conversation’ about out of home - especially in key markets including UK, US, and Australia.
Results
Developed and implemented strategic PR plans and messaging, delivered press office support, and enabled new reporting approaches. From January to June 2021, generated 120 pieces of press coverage, drafted 16 thought-leadership articles (12-month goal was 20 articles), set up paid partnerships, and connected with freelance PR experts in the US and Australia to help amplify local market opportunities. Per quarter, maintained a potential reach circ. 400M people, Average Value Equivalency (AVE) of circ. £4M, and all coverage sentiment was either positive or neutral. In terms of quarterly media reach, VIOOH gained circ. 28% of share of voice.
BRIEF
As an experienced PR consultant, support the Consumer PR team working across BT, EE and Plusnet to cover a short-term maternity leave, deliver key projects, help improve processes and maintain quality deliverables during long-term working from home period due to Covid-19.
RESULTS
Led on PR plans and messaging for complex and potentially negative topics including debt collection, price rises, regulatory issues, new product offers, and Covid-19 outbreaks. Supported press office on reactive media enquiries across customer service, products, issues and speaker requests – including collating information, drafting messaging and statements. Supported brand team on amplification of multi-million pound EE 5G iPhone 12 advertising campaign and Broadband Superiority advertising campaign.
BRIEF
Following the BBC Studios acquisition of UKTV and installation of new CEO, the company wanted to reaffirm UKTV’s position at the creative heart of the TV industry in the UK, and raise awareness of key industry priorities and business functions.
RESULTS
Secured CEO interviews in Television magazine (cover story), Videonet, Broadcast, C21 and Management Today, as well as 1-2-1 background briefings with Financial Times, The Guardian and The Times. Hosted media dinner on 4 February 2020 for key national and trades to meet members of the leadership team - journalists in attendance included City AM, Hollywood Reporter, TBI Vision, Broadcast, The Drum, Variety and Marketing Week. Coronavirus commentary, kept upbeat and positive, was secured in Realscreen, Broadcast, C21 and Marketing Week.
BRIEF
To raise awareness of UKTV’s airtime-for-equity investment fund, which offers high-growth start-ups an opportunity to enter the TV advertising market in exchange for a minority stake in their company. In particular, to target niche start-up and ad tech publications.
RESULTS
UKTV Ventures Click Mechanic announcement - media breakfast event took place on 17 January 2020 with press attendees including Broadcast, The Drum, Marketing Week, Video Ad News, Tech Round, DTC Daily and UK Tech News. The announcement press release was widely distributed and ran in Video Ad News, Tech Round, Advanced Television, ATV Today, Best Ads on TV, Car Dealer Magazine among others.
BRIEF
Launch new addressable TV advertising service Finecast in the UK. Through press event moment, message creation, media training, press release assets and creating social media channels.
RESULTS
Developed and implemented launch strategy generating over 15 articles including; Campaign, Bloomberg, WARC, The Drum, Videonet, Huffington Post, Ad Age, Mediatel and Rapid TV News – and hosted a media breakfast on 26 September 2017. Developed and rolled-out 12 months post-launch communications strategy to maintain a drumbeat of press coverage and awareness of Finecast across the industry.
